Important!! Wiki changes

Wiki is now only viewable to registered users in a special group. Normal users wont see the wiki link in the menu anymore. If anyone here cant see the wiki link in the menu when they login please let me know and I will add you to this special group. After reading the mails from last weekend it seems that we're in for a loong journey, Tony, how far did you get with converting tcsh to GCC? Siegel & Scott, could you two create a wiki page with the information already collected? Openoffice Dependency Extraction

hnl_dk, tonyw & Siegel: Perhaps we should organise ourselves wrt. extracting a list of dependencies for OOo? A quick suggestion from my side is: 1) Take a couple of days to familiarise ourselves with the source tree. (Until tuesday?) 2) Divide the source into parts investigated by one person each. 3) Redo step 2 but with different persons for the source parts so every part gets at least two people examining it. 4) Merge our results and present them to the team. Slogan for OOe

We need a good slogan for the banners. Like... "Yes, Amiga WILL fit Your needs" "amigaopenoffice.org - The amiga is learning to type" "To type, or not to type, OpenOffice.org for Amiga is the answer" "You don't IMPRESS me much ... Dependencies - more on "csh"

The version of csh from Aminet (csh550.lha) compiles using SAS/C on Classic or OS4. It runs OK, once you realise that the prompt is "highlighted" using pen colour 7 - this appears to be hard-coded. I have bodgied a version that ignores the highlight formatting for the prompt. This version runs on Classic (OS3.9), OS4/68k and OS4/PPC in emulation. I'll provide a copy for anyone that wants it. I have not yet tried to compile it with gcc. It does not seem to have dependencies of its own (no ixemul, works emulated on OS4/PPC). It does need some SAS libs, though. Paths are Amiga-specific, it does not recognise volume names in the form /name. I'd put all this in the Wiki but I can't seem to find the "Edit" button on that page. cheers
