Porting Question

Hello As many of you know I'm porting libusb to os4. The source code uses serverl functions like snprintf() and strerror(). I wantede to use clib2 but thats ad no-no from library code, then I turn to newlib but dident have the inclide files :( So here I'm what to do ? The only thing I can think of is to rip the source code from clib2 an include it in my lib but that not the best sulution IMHO. Any ideas? Kind regards Rene W. Olsen

Hello, The following decisions & plans were made: Disisions: o CSH/TCSH development postponed untill we actually need it. o Porting of dependencies that have uses outside of the OOo project to gain momentum. Tasks: o AC will investigate the feasability of writing a wrapper for libusb o SieGel will investigate/port autoconf & automake o Bean will investigate/port aspell o tonyw will investigate/port BerkleyDB o Archprogrammer will investigate the currently available ports for usuability o Archprogramer will investigate the work required to port NAS. I've set up the needed tasks & projects on http://dev.amigaopenoffice.org, and assigned them to the proper people, however, that doesn't mean anyone else can't help out ;) Also, everyone with access to dev.amigaopenoffice.org has to fill in the proper details in their user account. I've had a look at the Berkeley DB version in OOo, and the latest source version 4.3.27. I've written my comments as a "task log" under the "Berkeley DB" task. cheers

Hello to all. I'm an italian programmer. I started to work as programmer in 1994 as co-founder of LightShock Software (we made some games for the Amiga and PC). Actually I'm programming internet applications and various multimedia things. My skills in brief: - good knowledge of C++, C, PHP and Java. - very good knowlege of networking programming - a "little bit rousted" ability with AmigaOS (i programmed many in house graphic utilities in ASM but completely using the OS 3.1) May I help in some way? Overview of CVS Tree

Hi! I've finally managed it to get my way through the complete CVS tree, looking in every subdirectory and trying to find out what the purpose of that code is ;) I have made a textfile with all informations listed for both the files AND the directories including a small desrcription and the languages used for the code. However I was not able to understand every subdirectory, it would be nice if another person with access to the full CVS tree could validate my observations. When I'm not sure what a specific directory is made for I have added question marks to the list. This maybe a good candidate for the wiki, but I'm not sure if this really fits there, so I send it first here to this list. About the IRC: If a meeting is planed for TODAY I could be there, same for monday. I've only received 3-4 emails, so I'm thinking either people don't want, don't feel they can contribute, or can't. It seems Monday 19:00 - 20:00 UTC is a good time: http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=1&day=24&year=2005&h… Possibly a bit earlier for those who can. I'm unavailable at this time, so have fun. I doubt I'll try to organise another session in this manner. Anyone have any ideas how to do it? Set up regular ones instead? -- We'll jump off that bridge when we get there.
