I would also point out that as this is a volunteer project the project team are going to have to take into account the time constraints involved (ie lack of time on most peoples part) as such one of the first things (probably) that needs to happen is for us to determine who is available to do any coding (from the 12 ish coders on the list) and what time they have available.
I'm able to put actually 2-3 hours per day inside the week at maximum, depending on how long I have actually coded already at work. Weekend is no problem, when I'm at home I also have time to code.
I have experience in C and lots of script languages like PHP, Perl, Python etc. Also as being an Oracle DBA I have very good knowledge about RDBMS systems, mainly Oracle (surprise ;) but any other DB is no problem at all.
Except for GUI coding I would say I could take almost any part or module to work on, however I lack C++ knowledge, and this seems to be a problem as OO is coded in C++, so I really have no idea if it makes sense to contribute here without C++ knowledge.
