We need a good slogan for the banners.
Like...
"Yes, Amiga WILL fit Your needs" "amigaopenoffice.org - The amiga is learning to type" "To type, or not to type, OpenOffice.org for Amiga is the answer" "You don't IMPRESS me much ... OOo does"
... and much more could be found on the IRC chat logfile!
Please send your suggestions or favourites and we will try to create a poll!
Kind Regards,

Well this one's my favorite ;-)
Hmmm. How about: "There's a reason A is the FIRST lettter of the alphabet, OpenOffice.org for Amiga."

Which needs a quick edit if you ask me (see beginning of the log)

We need a good slogan for the banners.
Oh dear. We haven't even got the product to alphatesting yet.
In any case, it would be sensible to liaise (good marketing word that) with OOo's own marketing department. Yes, they have one.
Please, people, I know you're enthusiastic and everything, which is good, but we must remember that OOo is a multiplatform project, and it would /extremely/ undiplomatic to "go it alone" in any way rather than cooperate with the existing setup. Also somewhat wasteful: think synergy (another good marketing word, but very appropriate).

Must be all that vaporware we've been exposed to over the years. Has to be a side effect.

Our Project Lead, Amon_Re, is suppost to be making offical contact with the OO.org project. This weekend I think he said...

Yup, it's been mentioned before. OO.org has this all worked out. We could have cvs access, mailing lists, etc. We're at the late stage of inventorying our assests before offical contact. We want to make a good impression. I do hope we avail ourselve of all the assests that OO.org has available to us. Though it can be abit confusing with OO.org being the software, the website, and the organization name.

Hey, that's the motto in our comunity ;) market first, create later ;) Actaully, the reason Mason is asking for a slogan is probably because i asked him to build some banners for amigaopenoffice.org, personally i'd just skip the slogans alltogether for the banners, just the logo & url should suffice

BTW, the use of those banners isn't to advertise the application, but rather the project itself, and i'm not sure i'll be using them at this time

Hi Rose!
I agree with you! Maybe we are too fast in some points. We maybe should first wait and see what the OOo group will tell us.
But imho we also have to show our self-confidence.
Hope that didn't sound to much like BBRV ;-)
