I too am tempted to close down the project, there has
been no activity for
several months really (other than some work identifying a JVM to use),
attempts to get completed code out of a few people who have said they have
completed bits of work seems fruitless, although I do apologise for not
following up on the dependancy DB with you.
I don't know about the others, but I asked 2 or 3 times for some work for me to do but
I didn't get any answer.
Before you ask: At the moment I have enough other things to do, so helping is currently
not possible for me.
By the way: is there any accessible Roadmap for everyone to download?
Maybe using something like eGroupWare would help the project a bit, so that people know
what's going on, who is working on what, what needs to be done, what is finished, ...

Apologies, I must have missed that one as I didnt see it, I have responded
to all requests that I've seen.
we are using phpgroupware:
dev.amigaopenoffice.org
developers can get a sign on.
However we cant populate much of it until the dependancies have been worked
out, hence the need for Ole-Egil's dependency DB, and it does require that
people log on and update it.

The trouble is, I have still gotten no feedback as to whether what I
have made so far is useful, and I flatly refuse to finish it until I
know there is a point.
However, I see I have changed the psql setup in the meantime, will
update the webpages so they can connect again right away. Then if
someone could have half a look and say "you obviously didn't think of
..." or "this is something we can use", I will continue tonight.

update the webpages so they can connect again right away. Then if
someone could have half a look and say "you obviously didn't think of
..." or "this is something we can use", I will continue tonight.

OK looks fine as far as I can see (with the obvious exception that we cant
do anything ;-) ). I cant think of anything else it needs to do, it needs
to be easy/fast/simple etc which it seems to be and that is enough. I also
remember looking at this now, and trying it and not having the password and
also not asking what that password was so entirely my fault sorry.

Well, i would say your are finished. The only think i came
up is that a working user login (every user has it own login
and corresponds to personalia) and logging of activities of
users, so that a rollback would be possibile. And last
thinks for projects:
* status: unassigned, in progress, beta, finish
And than only folks must feed it with data.

Well, the mapping between people and users wasn't meant to be there,
because while it's possible to add many external people, I want to keep
the number of people writing to the database to an absolute minimum.
We shall see, ok? If you want a personal user because you'll be doing
actual work, gimme a note. For now, everyone here can use the aooo
login. Using htaccess directly also speeds up things compared to looking
up in the database. This is still only a dual P2@233MHz. With a 6Mbit up
AND down fiber-to-the-home :-P
Project status needs implementing, that's correct. Then there's a
working front page and list/search, which pretty much should take at
least half an afternoon to complete.

I was registered to amigaopenoffice.org, but this looks a "bit" strange. And
my password of this doesn't work on dev.amigaopenoffice.org.

Maybe someone should remind people here from time to time that these
things exist. Then people might look at the pages from time to time and
might even fill them with content.
www.amigaopenoffice.org has been hacked currently and Im having some issues
getting onto the server to get rid of it.
dev.amigaopenoffice.org is a different package, if developers need a log-in
please let me know, and I stress developers, if you dont want to contribute
then dont ask for entryplease (that last part wasnt aimed at anyone in
particular).
