First of all i'd like to thank Paul for his work on aspell, i will upload his sources to the CVS if it's not been done yet.
Paul, how stable was this port? Could this be used by other people already? If so, let me know so it can be submitted to os4depot.
Thomas, could you provide a list of the coreutils you already ported to os4 and, if possible, dump the sources on the cvs or devsite?
Cheers
Hello,

Blush, well for the little time I spent on it all I'm sorry I didn't get the sources up quicker. As you've probably noticed (or not) I've only been back around the Amiga for the last week or so and quite frankly I was ashamed that I had forgotten to upload the sources. Not much needed to be changed, it was understanding the build process that was important.

Just some slight modifications are still needed to the code/build to clear up some problems for a standalone version:
* nroff mode issues * Stack related issue (suggest stack cookie (as suggested) for OS4). * Currently uses unix paths. This could be a problem when compiling for <= OS3.9
Now that we have Perl on OS4 I think the build can be converted not to used to bodged files I constructed with Perl using my Linux box, but instead build them dynamically during the compile process.
To get this usable for people (OS4 Depot) an installer will need to be written to install the program and associated dictionary files as it can be a pain to install. All dictionary files need to be "constructed" using the "prezip" file (that is built during the standard make process), the main aspell program and the source dictionary files.
I'll post some better documentation on the whole build process sometime (shortly I hope). Also, unless anyone else is going to do it I'll modify the source to deal with the issues above.
Cheers, Paul.
