I'm waiting for my access to an OS4 machine ;-)
However, I now have OS 3.9 for my emulator which seems to work awesomely and now I can get the right compiler from downloads of the website. ;-) There's no kickstart for 3.9 right? All I could find was 3.5.

Sorry for missing the IRC but this was a really busy week and I managed to join the ML only today! :(
I'll wait for the IRC logs to check the Software requirements, for the hardware I have a way to access an A1 (until I'll buy one! ;) ).
Have a good shopping!

Hello to all.
Welcome!
I'm an italian programmer. I started to work as programmer in 1994 as co-founder of LightShock Software (we made some games for the Amiga and PC). Actually I'm programming internet applications and various multimedia things.
My skills in brief:
- good knowledge of C++, C, PHP and Java.
- very good knowlege of networking programming
- a "little bit rousted" ability with AmigaOS (i programmed many in
house graphic utilities in ASM but completely using the OS 3.1)
May I help in some way? Wich are the "system requirements" and capabilities?
Software wise: We had an IRC session discussing that yesterday, you shoulda been there. There are logs up now, hopefully in a day or less we'll see the compact version of the log with all the cruft edited out. We're building a WIKI page with dependencies. Hardware wise: We'll be aiming for AimgaOS4, os any hardware capable of running OS4 is good. If you don't have one, we'll find a way for you to access one. You can probably also cross-compile from Linux and have a beta tester run the binaries. For quite some time we'll be working on the dependencies, though. And many of those will likely be ported to both 3.9 and 4.0 so they can be more useful in other projects. Some dependencies we know of: csh (for some build scripts), sh (for some other build scripts), autotools (at least some things are done by autoconf), aspell, neon, berkeley db, unixodbc etc. Just to mention a handful off the top of my head. Hmm, beer. And now I need to go shopping for food. Oh well, I've been drunk in a grocery store before :-P
