Looking into OpenOffice in detail, I'm wondering if a choice was made (or at least considered) as far as GUI library? One that might have all the elements we need for the porting effort.
If not, I'd like to suggest the following:
http://www.tutok.sk/fastgl/ (OpenGUI) or something similar to that one...it seems fast efficient and not all that much to port (by comparisons to others).
