I think it's time we raised the profile of this project. Banner advertising is currently low on Amigaworld.net so I am willing to give the Amiga Openoffice.org project a free Banner slot on the site while advertising is low, so be quick and take this opportunity for free advertising to raise Amiga Openoffice.org's profile. So, did we decide on a slogan and banner? Regards David Doyle (DaveyD) Owner/Webmaster Amigaworld.net

I would like to match that and offer a free advert in Total Amiga magazine http://www.totalamiga.org We have just finished producing the current issue so it would have to be in the next issue (in about 3 months time). You mean I can't? But you had all of two months to do it in! :D Does anyone think it worthwhile trying to set up a fund to help feed programmers working on the project (possibly to the exclusion of paid work)? Incidentally: to the brothers Frieden, thanks for the Easter Egg. Much hilarity ensued when I got the Kickstart diskette-request screen on Easter Day. Salutations -- Rose Humphrey /anarchic_teapot/

I did start work on a mock-up of Open Office in Reaction (menus, buttons and the like with just a plain TextEditor.gadget in the place of the edit area) to use as an April Fools day joke. But in a bizarre twist of irony, my release date slipped so I decided it was better to spend last night at the pub rather than completing my elaborate prank. Maybe next year. -- Thanks, Andy Hall

Maybe we can use it as the start of a GUI? cheers
